Our Story Shirley Thompson, David Thompson, and Gretchen Nichols are the current owners of Hotel Diamond, which they bought in 2000. The family has been ranching in Diamond Valley for 6 generations. David and Gretchen's great grandfather managed the hotel in the early 1900's for the original builder while he established his ranch.
